Dark, Gothic Romance with a Twist
The Devil You Know by Kay Freeman is great for listeners/readers who want a read that is ALL about the relationship between the two leads, and the trouble that surrounds both of them. It's not for the feint of heart, as mentioned. The story follows River, a middle-aged woman who is pulled back into her past with Cruz after a dramatic event with her abusive husband. It has an easy, quick pace, and a really fun twist at the end that had me thinking back to everything I'd read leading up to it. I'd recommend this for those who want a really steamy read that pulls no punches!
